Or perhaps you’re already comfortable in the water but want to feel more confident understanding the conditions, choosing your kit and dealing with cold water?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur \u003cstrong\u003eIntro to Wild Swimming\u003c\/strong\u003e sessions are designed for exactly that.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBased in \u003cstrong\u003eSwanage, Dorset\u003c\/strong\u003e, we’ll spend time on some of the area’s beautiful Blue Flag, sandy beach, learning the essentials of safe, enjoyable wild swimming in a relaxed and friendly environment. Our location may change depending on the weather and sea conditions, because understanding those conditions is part of wild swimming too.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOver the session, we’ll cover:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYour kit\u003c\/strong\u003e — what you actually need, how to use it and what might make your swim more comfortable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCold water\u003c\/strong\u003e — how your body responds, how to acclimatise and how to recognise when it’s time to get out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWeather and sea conditions\u003c\/strong\u003e — learning what to look for before you swim and how conditions can change.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSwimming skills\u003c\/strong\u003e — simple techniques to help you feel more comfortable and confident in open water.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWild swimming know-how\u003c\/strong\u003e — practical tips and knowledge you can take away and use on your own swims.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut this isn't a classroom session on a beach.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere’s plenty of time to simply \u003cstrong\u003eenjoy being in the water, meet some like-minded people and spend a couple of hours in one of Dorset’s most beautiful coastal settings.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAnd then comes the important bit...\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSwim. Sauna. Cake.\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter around an hour in and around the water, we’ll head into the sauna for a \u003cstrong\u003e30-minute warm-up\u003c\/strong\u003e, before finishing with some \u003cstrong\u003ehomemade cake from the Wild Swimming Co's famous kitchen\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt’s a lovely way to spend a couple of hours,  learning something new, getting in the sea, warming up properly and meeting other people who love being outdoors and in the water.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSuitable for confident swimmers and people who are already comfortable around water but want to learn more about wild swimming.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2 hours | Swanage, Dorset | Blue Flag beaches | Sauna \u0026amp; homemade cake included\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCome for the swim.
