Regular sessions will take place every Tuesday and Saturday morning, with additional swims and special events added as our community grows.

Spaces are limited to ensure every swimmer enjoys a safe, relaxed and high-quality experience.

Facilities

Our lakeside facilities are designed to help you enjoy every visit, from the moment you arrive until long after your swim. Swimmers have access to dedicated changing rooms, toilets and, where conditions allow, warm showers to help you rinse off and warm up after your swim. As an outdoor venue, the showers are weather dependent and may occasionally be unavailable during periods of freezing temperatures or if flooding affects the site. Whether you're heading straight home or staying for a coffee and a chat, we've created a comfortable and welcoming base to complement your time on the water.

Castle Lake FAQ

Is there a wetsuit policy?

We’ll always recommend a wetsuit, they will keep you warmer for longer and you’ll be more buoyant. Wearing a wetsuit may mean that you can enjoy the swim for a little longer than you are used to. However we understand that it’s not for everyone, therefore wetsuits are always optional.

Is there a tow float policy?

Tow floats are encouraged, they make you more visable and give you somthing to hold on to if you lose confidence.

How do you manage safety?

All of our lifeguards are Open Water qualified and are first aid trained, we'll check you in and out of the water and hold your medical information and emergency contact details.

Are there any ability requirements?

Our swims are ideally suited for complete beginners who want to try wild swimming, if you're a little more seasoned, you can complete loops around the lake.

What do I need to bring?

You don’t need to spend hundreds on specialist kit to come on a Wild Swimming, but you might want a tow float (which you can buy when you’re here!), plus a towel or robe and footwear that you can wear in the water. We can talk through all the posh bits and pieces on the market when you’re with us.

Do you track distances, times and temperatures?

We'll record the temperature and your time or distance on your exit, you can then track your progress throughout the year/ season.

What a lovely weekend! I felt very looked after from start to finish. Rich, Mel, Nicole and McCartney are all so welcoming. Great company, food, accommodation and what an experience visiting the sauna and lake at Corfe Castle! Saturday was perfect in every way, from the sunrise and croissants on the beach, to the saunas, walk and ending the afternoon in a cosy pub. Enjoyed every minute of the weekend. Thank you!

What a wonderful weekend!

Mel and Richard truly pulled out all the stops to make it bespoke, comfortable, and as special as possible. A real highlight was the nighttime sauna and sea dip at Lulworth Cove. I’d highly recommend it.

I had the most incredible weekend in Snowdonia — a truly magical experience from start to finish. The wild swimming in the lakes and waterfalls was absolutely exhilarating, and every dip felt like a little adventure of its own. The scenery was breathtaking, and the whole trip had such an energising, feel-good vibe. The accommodation was wonderful — warm, welcoming, and so cosy after a day outdoors. The beds were super comfy, and the whole place had that relaxed, homely atmosphere that makes you instantly feel at ease. The home-cooked food was delicious (and plentiful!), and every meal felt like it had been made with real care. What really made the weekend special, though, were the people. I met such amazing, like-minded souls — everyone was friendly, supportive, and up for a laugh. It was one of those trips that leaves you feeling refreshed, inspired, and grateful. I honestly couldn’t recommend it more — perfect for anyone looking to connect with nature, meet great people, and make unforgettable memories.

I had the most incredible time! Mel, Rich, Becky, Frith and Dave were absolutely amazing. So welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the whole experience.

The Watkins Path waterfall experience was truly stunning. Swimming beneath those falls is something I’ll never forget. It was genuinely the experience of a lifetime, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for adventure, connection, and a bit of magic in nature.
